WtU feat FbtS busking on the streets!

Yes! We’ve got the sunshine back here in Liverpool. Ideal weather to spread some sounds and beats in the streets and do get some money in the band kitty to pay for our rent while we’re writing and practicing new and relearn/revamp old forgotten songs in the night.

Cheers Liverpool for welcoming us so lovely and taking the time to listen to our crazy improvised madness…yes we take in many shapes and forms but produce many weird new styles and genres.

We’ll be in small formations as much out as possible, but we plan on having a street gig, yes an actual WtU gig in the streets once every month hoping to pay for future recordings, equipment, transport and merchandise. Basically, you people who come to listen to us are gonna be our record label!

And feel free to join us in the street jam if you play an instrument! Like a couple of you already did :D YES GET INVOLVED!

Enough words! Turn on the music player and have a look at the pictures, that Kaniote Street Style and many others took of We the Undersigned and The Fire Beneath the Sea on church street! Go ahead

Peace and Luv Malou of WtU x

P.S. We’ve also been mentioned as one of Liverpool’s hard working buskers with a really tacky pic of us hahaha But huge thanks for the mention=) http://streetsax.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/liverpools-hardworking-buskers.html?spref=tw

Keep an eye on Tighten Up!

First, fellow funkateer add/subscribe to Tighten Up Thursdays on your facebook. And stay in touch with great nights of reggae, soul, ska and other styles that go down into movin your spine! It was a pleasure to play at the opening night with Jeremiah Ferrari at The Magnet. Even though it was slight a shock arriving there for soundcheck when the place was still half a construction site *haha*. However, I think we’ve done some justice to this place.

And a couple weeks later The Fire Beneath the Sea with Terra Bite on desks heated up the night:

Thanks to all the people who came down to stankh and the promoters who are puttin on Tighten Up! Hope you find a new venue to heat up them cold Thursdays nights soon! :D

Cheers for the facebook and twitter hype after the weekend! – It was truly overwhelming for us =)

WtU had the honors to support and play with the one and only reggae lady-legend Dawn Penn.

Most of you probably will know here of this song:

Two weekends ago WtU played on Friday, 20th May 2011 at the Liverpool SoundCity Festival! Because we have to much cosmic funky energy coming of the mook mothership we didn’t only play the gig supporting Kid British (thanks for compliments guys and gutted we couldn’t catch ur set), but spontaneously we decided to crash the stage at BUMPER and played main support for Ed Sheeran. POW! WOW!

Therefore, Bumper host Morning Show Presenter Dev of Radio 1 was so surprised by the brass that he announced us as ED Sheeran lol …aww bless…he apologized  to us on the following Monday during his show…WOO WTU got mention on Radio 1…Dev we forgive you ;)

And now here some pictures:

and before the gigs The Mook and Collen went for an interview with CALM:

Cheers to the people who were wigglin to the stankh :D M.Lou of WtU xx
