Keep an eye on Tighten Up!

First, fellow funkateer add/subscribe to Tighten Up Thursdays on your facebook. And stay in touch with great nights of reggae, soul, ska and other styles that go down into movin your spine! It was a pleasure to play at the opening night with Jeremiah Ferrari at The Magnet. Even though it was slight a shock arriving there for soundcheck when the place was still half a construction site *haha*. However, I think we’ve done some justice to this place.

And a couple weeks later The Fire Beneath the Sea with Terra Bite on desks heated up the night:

Thanks to all the people who came down to stankh and the promoters who are puttin on Tighten Up! Hope you find a new venue to heat up them cold Thursdays nights soon! :D

Manchester 4-piece Jermiah Ferrari pit themselves against convention with their infectious tunes, as their up-tempo shenanigans seamlessly combine a multitude of genres, the product of which is innovative, catchy & verve-inspiring. Taking reggae as their touchstone, they mould it with funk, dub, rock & calypso, reminding us why we fell in love with the genre in the first place.
