2000Trees Festival 2011: What a blast!!

OMG!! We had such a great time at 2000Trees Festival! Thanks for the organizers for giving us the opening slot of the main stage and for putting up the busking stages that we rocked off with the lovely and crazy music lovers on the festival!

WtU enjoyed the camping site, stage, busking, the dubstep tent, nature walk, leaf lounge, people, toilets and all the lovely people who starting singing along to our set! Truly boss!

Cheers for the facebook and twitter hype after the weekend! – It was truly overwhelming for us =)

Also we’d like to welcome Gabi on percussion who played for Phil on the drums on the festival and our 2 Mcs The Elephant King Jay and the Monkey King Kyle to the WtU Family!

WtU April: Video of Pow! Pictures of BlowBack Studio Session and a bit of Wales!

Yo yoyoyo Funkateers!

I’m M.Lou the girl with the ‘fro and bringing you the latest news in land of WtU!

Thanks to Jay we have this amazing video of Pow! Make A Move…a song that had it’s debut on the 3rd Degree Festival at LIPA on 7th April 2011.

Watch it and be amazed! POW! Performing are Phil Dolan on the human beat box machine, me on the baritone saxophone and our dear friends who may already know of ‘Type of Mood I’m In’, J Taylor and Joshy Slimfast, or how WtU likes to call them ‘The Hemptations’

We also got a live audio recording of the whole show that night. If you are a member on our mailing list then you will receive a secret to download and listen the live recording of ‘Paradise’. POW! Get on it!

Oh yeah as we mentioned in our newsletter before…we went to the study to get ‘Wastelife’ on a record. We are still in the mixing process…what I can remember from the latest listen to the mix it’s going to sound mental If anyone really dies to hear one of the early instrumental mix downs…please twitter us @WtU and tell us why you must hear it! Deal?

Our Saturday-Sunday Adventure in Wales…POW! See there we had a gig:

What..you didn’t know about a WtU gig Wales? Right, the reason why is because this gig was a wedding gig, a great couple booked us to play 2 Sets at their Wedding! 1 WtU and 1 filled with covers! How amazing WOO!! WtU enjoyed that place, the free food and the people to party with! Liverpool Get Ready for the Threshold Festival

The Treshold Festival is about to start in a bit! POW!!

It’s gonna be EUROPE’S LARGEST FESTIVAL UNDER ONE ROOF. There will be 200 acts , 160 bands/musicians/djs, 12 stages over 3 days and all in  1 building. POW!!

So What’s do we actually want? So the truth is we want to spread the STANKH into ur ears! A furious mix of reggae, rock and funk! Coz that’s just the mood we’re in BOOM! WtU’s also excited for the Photo Shoot with Andrew Ab that day!! *Crossing Fingers* for non rainy outdoor shots =)

Come down to the Contemporary Urban Centre on Sunday all day or for 20.50pm (YES 8.50pm) that’s when WtU are on stage before KOF and the headlining  ELEMENTALS.
